Even during the Soviet era, the west was far from informed about Russia. Rumors went round about gulags and people disappearing never to be heard of again but we were mostly concerned about our own security and the Cold War. So it was with relief that we embraced the end of the Soviets and the Cold War and asked few questions. However, the events in Georgia have prompted some to ask if the Russian bear was merely hibernating for the Winter. Prof. Steven Plaut, of INN, Israel, believes that Russia artificially created a ‘human crisis’ amongst the Ossetians much like the manufactured situation existing between Palestine and Israel. He comments:
The entire world is horrified at Russian behavior. The Russians invent a new ‘nation’ in need of self-determination, all as a ploy to break up Georgia.
The Russians scream about the mistreatment of the Ossetians and never mind human rights abuses inside Russia, especially in Chechnya. The Russians coordinate moves by separatists inside Georgia to serve as justification for their own invasion. The Russians preach human rights and self-determination as a ploy to engage in aggression.<…> Read the rest of this entry »

Obama the millionaire Marxist. He represents an overclass of university educated left who function in a world that 99% of the world’s population can only fantasise about. Obama moves in elite circles and collects staggering sums of money from individuals who most of us will never lay eyes on. They inhabit great ivory towers in a blue sky of rarefied oxygen far from the dusty realms of the peasants like you and I.
Old man Obama was a hard core Marxist. That’s for certain. And although like the rugged non-conformist he was, he left the younger Obama without a physical male role model for much of his life, Barack continued to idolize him and his ideologies. Read the rest of this entry »

Daily Mail - Children in Need inadvertently handed £20,000 to the 7/7 London bombers, it emerged last night. The BBC charity cash was given to a bookshop run by Mohammed Siddique Khan and Shehzad Tanweer, who spent it on videos glorifying holy war. It also funded computers, gym equipment and the rafting trip made by the pair a month before their attacks claimed 52 lives. David Ramsden, the charity’s chief executive, said last night he was extremely concerned by the claims and had ordered an investigation. He insisted however that the charity had had no idea the money was being used to fund terrorism.
Sure you didn’t, given the leftwing infestation and hatred of Israel at the BBC, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s only very concerned and all that because they’ve been exposed. You have to wonder in this day and age of Islamic terrorism why organizations aren’t taking all the steps they can to ensure the money they give away isn’t being used for evil purposes. If the money were handed over to say, some charity run by the Anglican church for example, you could comfortably assume it wouldn’t be used to fund terrorism, but when it’s handed over to Muslims? Newsflash: the latte left is not your average working class citizen. It’s a product of privileged university education (much like Obama’s).
Most of the world has to work hard to pay the bills and has no time for subversions of morality or alternative mindsets. But the new age west is a world of mindsets known only to the very wealthy, where the beautiful people can flit to distant locations and shop for the perfect sperm with which to create their perfect child. It’s a world which also produces eugenicists who call for population culls for Gaia, presumably of the classes other than their own perfect offspring.
A story emerged a few days ago in the Washington Post of a poster girl of today’s latte left. The educated upper class has produced a beautiful, spoilt, type such as Julie Peterson (pictured) able to flit around the world looking for the perfect donor for her very own beautiful ‘Viking baby’ sibling for her current ‘Viking’ stock child but whose ambitions are being thwarted because of health restrictions on the import of Nordic sperm.
When Julie Peterson decided to have a baby on her own two years ago, she picked a tall, blond, blue-eyed Danish engineer as a sperm donor to match her own Scandinavian heritage. But when she went back to the sperm bank to use the same donor to have another child, she was stunned to discover that the federal government had made it impossible. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s the all-too-familiar scenario. A young girl who was married off by her family whilst technically a child to a much older man, escapes to be with the boy she ‘loves’ rather than be subjected to what amounts to the attentions of a legalized pedophile. As a result, she ends up in jail:
Ostracised from her family and village, Saliha (center figure in pic) was convicted of escaping from home and illegal sexual relations. The first carries a maximum penalty of 10 years, the second 20. These are two of the most common accusations facing female prisoners in Afghanistan. Read the rest of this entry »

BBC - China has received a total of 77 applications to stage protests during the Olympic Games period - but none has been approved. Beijing’s public security bureau said 74 applications were “withdrawn”, two were “suspended” and one was “vetoed”. China was praised by the International Olympic Committee when it said protest areas would be set up for the Olympics. But it appears no application has managed to meet China’s strict rules on who can and cannot stage a protest. …. Some would-be protesters even appear to have been arrested after making applications to stage demonstrations.
The Australian - Take the case of the Chinese dissident He Depu. Like Solzhenitsyn, he was a scientist from a humble background who was emboldened to speak his thoughts because of a temporary political thaw, as a result of which he was able to edit a reform-minded magazine, and to participate in the Democracy Wall. Like Solzhenitsyn, he was arrested for penning a handful of relatively innocuous thoughts, on the internet blog of a recently arrested friend. Like Solzhenitsyn he was held for months in isolation without charge, badly beaten (so that he is now almost deaf), and finally sentenced to eight years in a labour camp. …. Some optimistic souls imagined that these Olympic Games might shine a light on China’s disgraceful treatment of its political prisoners. IOC president Jacques Rogge himself at least pretended to such sentiments, in an article for the International Herald Tribune last year. Read the rest of this entry »

FOX News - Arava the disabled turtle is using her new set of wheels to get around in more ways than one. Officials at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo say the 10-year-old spurred tortoise has begun mating since being fitted with a custom skateboard to overcome paralysis of her hind legs. The 55-pound turtle is unable to move herself forward with her front legs alone. So the zoo’s staff built her a metal board with two wheels that can be strapped to her stomach. Arava arrived in Jerusalem a few months ago from a petting zoo in southern Israel with the unexplained handicap, and found no reptile romance.

MK - It’s no surprise that the turtle was shown this kindness in Israel. The turtle is lucky it didn’t end up over in Palestine, this is what [Warning - Graphic Nature] they’d probably have done to it. In other good news. Read the rest of this entry »

“Pakistan’s got their wish. All things righted. Stability will break out all across Pakistan like a million flowers blooming. “The now-unified government of Pakistan will be able to aptly deal with their internal terrorist threat. They will be able to satisfy the political demands of the electorate. They will be able to come to peaceful settlements with India, with Afghanistan, with Taliban remnants on their soil, with irredentism all across Pakistan, come to peaceful arrangements with al-Qaeda.”
(A commentator at Hot Air)
With narco gangs roaming and packs of marauding bandits and warlords driving a state of anarchy in Pakistan, the resignation of Musharraf, as far as I’m concerned, blows in an ill wind to the region itself and to the interests of the U.S. and the west. There is a lack of unity between the two coalition parties with one of the few things uniting them being their mutual hatred for Musharraf: Read the rest of this entry »

Thanks to Andrew Bolt - Alarmist of the Year Tim Flannery really should stay out of the predictions business, unless he’s just rehearsing a comedy act.
Four years ago, there was his prediction for Perth:
Speaking last night at the State Government’s Sydney Futures forum, Dr Flannery warned of a city grappling with up to 60 per cent less water. As temperatures around the world warmed by 2 to 7 per cent, Sydney could glimpse its future by looking at the devastating impact that global warming had already had on Perth… ”I think there is a fair chance Perth will be the 21st century’s first ghost metropolis,” Dr Flannery said.

The eyes and ears of all who are reading the writing on the wall must now be trained in the direction of Iran and Russia. It is this unholy alliance which has the potential to draw half the planet into a massive clash which could send rivers of blood and tongues of fire on a biblical scale through the streets of whole regions of the world. Forget the hapless Medvedev. Putin is the one whose grand vision of Russia as a world superpower will brook no opposition. America and her traitorous allies in the region are standing in the way:

It looks like most Americans don’t quite believe in manmade global warming alarmism any more, and the news is getting out on the lack of consensus amongst scientists (thanks at least in part, I believe, to the efforts of Conservative bloggers…certainly no thanks to the mainstream media).
Only 1 in 4 Americans believes global warming is the biggest environmental challenge facing the world, a new poll reveals. The ABC News/Planet Green/Stanford University survey found that public concern over the global warming issue has diminished over the past year. Read the rest of this entry »

BBC - The Israeli cabinet has voted to release some 200 Palestinian prisoners as a goodwill gesture to Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas. …. Mr Abbas’ aide described the move as “a step in the right direction”, but said more prisoners should be set free. …. Israeli security officials must still approve the list, but it is likely to include two Palestinians implicated in deadly attacks against Israel in the 1970s.
Off course more prisoners should be set free, what terrorist organization on this planet prefers to have it’s murderers locked up and unable to bomb and butcher without hindrance? Even if Israel frees all the prisoners, Abbas and the rest of the terrorists would still want more, more money, more land, more bombs etc the only thing they’d want less of are Jews and IDF soldiers pursuing them. Well, the politicians are happy to give them what they want and from what I can see without anything in return. So what do the folks at the frontline think about all this, after all it’s them putting their lives on the line, doing the heavy lifting not the fat cats sitting around casting votes willy nilly. Times Online - A supertax on high earners should be considered as part of Gordon Brown’s autumn fight-back, a minister says today. Ivan Lewis, writing in The Sunday Times, calls on the government to introduce a new economic package to bail out the hard-pressed middle classes – possibly paid for by new taxes on the rich.
It’s always the same with the left, always take from those who have, keep a bit for yourself and pass some on to those who don’t have it, didn’t work for it and hence don’t deserve it. This folks, is supposed to save Labour in Britain, they’ve made that country into one of the biggest crapholes in the western world with their, lying, stealing, incompetence, callousness, multiculturalism, socialism and political correctness. Rocky Mountain News - Hundreds of Denver’s homeless could be cooling their heels in a movie theater or museum while the Democratic National Convention is in town next month. The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless plans to get 500 movie tickets as well as passes to the Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and other cultural facilities for the people it helps. Bus tickets will be provided for events beyond walking distance, said John Parvensky, the non-profit’s president. Many day shelters will have expanded hours during the convention, and big screen TVs are being donated to some shelters so patrons can watch convention goings-on without being caught up in the mayhem.

Despite all the bravado of Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, the caricaturist who created the image of the Prophet Mohammed with a bomb in his turban, he has, understandably become conciliatory and… (dare I say it?)… appeasing, in his response to Jordan who are summonsing him to appear in a Jordanian court for his ‘offenses’.
“I would like to go to Amman to stand trial. However, what I fear is that I am convicted in advance,” Westergaard told the government-owned Jordan Times in Copenhagen.
But he added that he has not been officially notified of the summons and defended his cartoon, saying he sought to “highlight that there are some terrorists who misuse Islam and they take it as their spiritual ammunition.” Read the rest of this entry »

Belal Saadallah Khazaal, of Lakemba in Sydney’s southwest is presently in court for creating a book which describes in detail how to murder undetected in the name of ‘advancing Islam’ in Australia. The details of this book could have read like the diary of some Hollywood psychopath. But that was yesterday. This is radical Islam and it’s justifiable, religious duty in a suburb right next door now.
In Lakemba, a suburb about a half hour by freeway out of Sydney lies perhaps the largest and most active enclave of Muslims. A huge mosque dominates the landscape of the working class suburb and in the surrounding areas, the Muslim residents, instantly recognizable by their garb of course, have created a bustling community; kids being dropped off at school, a friendly wave from the local Lebanese baker, a couple of girls picking up baklava for an unexpected visitor. Creating a community like this is, of course, the norm in a ‘multicultural’ society. Read the rest of this entry »

The west has failed to call China to task on its many, many sins, but is China beginning to crumble from within? China is becoming the elephant in the room impossible to ignore, especially when every eye in the room has been directed towards them. China may have thought that hosting this year’s Olympic Games would bring it great prestige on the world stage but in its own hubris, the Communist Party hierarchy may have been oblivious to the glaring cracks in their previously inscrutable facade.
There’s the cheating:
As Jennifer says: There is absolutely no doubt - none, zero, zilch - that the Chinese “women’s” gymnastics team featured several little girls no older than 14 years of age - two years younger than the international federation allows for competition. Online registrations of these girls list one age, their passports list another. This is blatant cheating - no other word for it.
Guess which one the federation is taking as correct?” Read the rest of this entry »

In the wake of the Pope’s apology to victims of sex abuse, yet another priest has been charged with multiple sexual offenses against children, no doubt covered up by church hierarchy for years.
It’s time to acknowledge that there is a shadow world going on beneath the world painted for us by the familiar structures of society around us; a shadow politics, a shadow law and order force and, tragically, a shadow church. Behind the hallowed walls of piety lies an evil so profound and horrifying that most decent people would rather not know. And thus it has been covered up for decades, centuries:
“What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.”
- Former CIA director and Cercle member William Colby giving advice to his friend senator John DeCamp, urging him to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair and to write a book about his experiences (The Franklin Coverup, 2nd edition, foreword). (Do not read the SOURCE of this quote if you are sensitive to extreme violence against children). Read the rest of this entry »

The left like to waffle on about poverty and how much they care for the poor, socialism will uplift the masses and all that, but have a look at left-leaning countries and how they treat the poor, not waffling about them but how much they actually cough up to help the poor, how much they uplift the masses.
FOX News - Three months after U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon convened a task force on the global food crisis, the world’s richest oil-exporting nations remain among the biggest food-aid cheapskates. Donor lists obtained from the World Food Program, the United Nations’ food aid arm, show that Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela have contributed little or nothing to WFP’s coffers, even after Ban’s emergency appeal. At the same time, sky-high oil prices and imbalances exacerbated by swollen oil revenues have continued to worsen the food crisis. Read the rest of this entry »

Victor,
The ostensible cassi belli for attacking Iraq were to destroy Saddam’s WMD (nonexistent), stop his nuclear bomb development program (nonexistent), and eliminate his ties to al Qaeda (nonexistent). We can’t “win” the Iraqi war because its illusory objectives were never possible of attainment.
Over 4,000 brave Americans are dead, another 30,000+ wounded and maimed, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed, millions wounded, millions displaced, and for what? The hope that Iraq will become a Jeffersonian democracy? Oh, yes: over a trillion dollars of America’s treasure will have been flushed before we are quit of the hell hole that is Iraq. FOX News - A federal judge on Monday upheld a gun ban at the world’s busiest airport, dealing a blow to gun rights groups who argued a new Georgia law authorized them to carry weapons in certain parts of the Atlanta airport. U.S. District Judge Marvin Shoob expressed concern that allowing guns at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport could cause significant economic damage and could be a “serious threat to public safety and welfare.” ….The legal showdown erupted when the state law that allows people with a concealed weapons permit to carry guns into restaurants, state parks and on public transportation took effect on July 1. City officials quickly declared the airport a “gun-free zone” and warned that anyone carrying a gun there would be arrested. Read the rest of this entry »

Exactly a century ago, the world was in turmoil. Interestingly, Bosnia and Russia were in conflict in 1908…(uncanny as we read the news today). There were the first rumblings of economic recession (following the panic of 1907) and war on the horizon and socialist leaders waiting in the wings to use the disarray and the vulnerability of the masses to create global hegemony; and emerging were leaders such as Lenin and a young Hitler who was already dreaming of glory.
And antisemitism was on the rise.
Fast forward to the present. The global hegemony of Marxism is on the rise again; rumblings of a great economic recession have begun. The whispers of war are growing louder.
And antisemitism is on the rise…again.

How much control Putin wants is not completely clear. But one thing’s for certain; he’s not content with what he’s got. You can bet on that. And that’s something to pay attention to BEFORE it’s too late.
Details are beginning to come sharply into focus on Putin’s brutal expansionist ambitions towards west-friendly Georgia. The leftist Times official approach is to focus on the person of Saakashvili, the Georgian President rather than the fact that he is the rightful leader of an independent country:
“Saakashvili is described as supremely confident and even autocratic” confides the Washington Times. ‘Confident and autocratic’…Does that description sound just a tad like Putin? Read the rest of this entry »

Further to our previous post on England, it seems that, along with the playwright of Pornography, the E.U. engineers don’t see much value to Great Britain either. It is to be carved up and doled out to the new regions of the E.U.S.S.R. Yes, that’s right. England will be no more. (From the Daily Mail):
The change splits England into three and lumps those parts together with chunks of other countries to create “transnational regions”.
Under the programme, known as INTER-REG, counties along England’s south coast form the “Manche Region” along with northern France.
The “Atlantic Region” takes in western England, along with Ireland, Wales and parts of Portugal, Spain, France and Scotland.
Meanwhile eastern England is part of the “North Sea Region”, which covers areas of Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands.
This coincides with the division of the reinvented E.U. into regions rather than nation states. So it’s not only England that will be on the chopping block: Read the rest of this entry »

Remember this?
The 7 July 2005 London bombings (also called the 7/7 bombings) were a series of coordinated bomb blasts that hit London’s public transport system during the morning rush hour. Carried out by British Islamist extremists, the suicide bombings were motivated by Britain’s involvement in the Iraq War and other conflicts.[1] At 8:50 a.m., three bombs exploded within fifty seconds of each other on three London Underground trains. A fourth bomb exploded on a bus nearly an hour later at 9:47 a.m. in Tavistock Square. The bombings killed 52 commuters and the four suicide bombers, injured 700, Read the rest of this entry »
